Lookout Mountain Systems is a Los Angeles–based audio technology studio working in real-time digital signal processing and machine learning for sound.
We build high-performance C++ audio software on the JUCE framework — real-time synthesis and sequencing engines for desktop and mobile. The work centers on sample-accurate sequencing, per-step parameter automation, and lock-free audio code operating under hard real-time deadlines.
Alongside the production engine, we maintain a dedicated research effort in neural audio modeling: training neural networks to reproduce the nonlinear, stateful behavior of analog signal paths, with inference running in real time inside the audio engine.
Our research in neural modeling has now expanded beyond the digital domain. We are currently developing custom hardware instruments, bridging the gap between neural-network performance and physical circuit design.
